During the first week, you'll also come to the HAWC (Health & Wellness Center) for a Microfit Analysis. You will be weighed and have your body fat composition, blood pressure and resting heart rate measured. Plus, you'll be tested for flexibility, bicep strength and aerobic fitness. The entire appointment will take only one hour. It's relatively painless and it will give you a great baseline to measure your success over the next 12 weeks.

Please review carefully and follow the guidelines below for the day prior to your Microfit Analysis.
 

  At the Microfit Analysis, these measurements will be taken:
  • weight
  • body fat composition
  • blood pressure
  • resting heart rate
  • flexibility
  • bicep strength
  • aerobic fitness

The entire appointment will take only one hour. It's relatively painless and will give you a great baseline to measure your success over the next 12 weeks. At the end of the program, we'll repeat the process and look at your progress.

 
Avoid any strenuous exercise 12 hours prior to the test.
Eat a light, low-fat meal not less than 2 hours prior to the test. Avoid heavy meals and fasting.
Alcohol, caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate and soda), tobacco, drugs or medications used within 4 hours of testing may alter your results significantly. Some medications may have a longer lasting effect. Be sure to inform your tester of any medications you have been taking.
Wear loose shirts, shorts and athletic shoes. Do not wear your uniform, tight clothes or long pants.
Get a good night's sleep prior to the testing. Workers won't be tested after working the night shift.
